Meltonbury Gig

Q: What is a Meltonbury?

A: It's an annual charity gig, organised with a festival atmosphere, al la Glastonbury, but smaller!

Q: Where was it?

A: It's in the village of Melton, East Yorkshire. Head along the A63 to the traffic lights in Welton, turn into Melton and then right at the next lights. It's in the garden of the last house on the right, just before the new roundabout. (Note: the new junction is totally different - ED)

Yes, we're not kidding! You'll hear it anyway...

Q: How much did it cost?

A: Adult tickets are £6 each and kids come for £2. You can have a family ticket (2 of each) for £15, but for the saving you might as well pay full price and feel good about your contribution to charity.

Q: When was it?

A: 19th August. It started at 4pm and ran through to 11pm or thereabouts

Q: Why should I have gone?

A: Well, we were playing. It was for charity, with all money raised going to 3 worthy causes. It was great fun. There were lots of other bands playing (some of whom are very good). Food, Drink, Music and Dancing and people having a good time. Obvious really.

Q: What did we play?

A: Brown Sugar, Pinball Wizard, Bowies Eyes, Cold Night, Lies, Wino

Q: Are there any more pictures?

A: Lots, but we haven't got them from our photographer, Kate. She's been understandably busy...
