TM to compete in The Square Battle of the Bands

It's looking like 22nd May in Pocklington. Get yourself along - even if you don't want to hear us yet again.

On the other hand if you do want to hear us again and have a favourite song then tell us to put it on the (oh so short) set list

TM organise another Village bash

TM have organised another major charity gig in association with KCFM.  The date has been set for the 23rd May and the artists are all lined up. Go here for more info...

TM feature on KCFM...

Following hot on the tails of Simon and Carolines starring roles on Radio Humberside we've been invited to go in for an informal chat and to play some of the tracks from "3rd Favourite Chord" on the Sunday night KCFM Rock Show.  This time we've all been invited so we can all try and get a word in edgeways over Simon...

Well, we think it all went pretty well.  Jules and producer Phil were great and put us at our ease, although Andy seemed a little uncomfortable but we that could have been something to do with the curry he had for dinner...  Unfortunately Caroline couldn't be there this time so it was just the guys.

To hear the interview trot across to our press pack page.

TM feature on Radio Humberside...

Simon and Caroline were featured on Radio Humberside's 'Every Picture' slot on Steve Redgrave's Late Show on Tuesday 15th January.

See the bit on Auntie Beeb's site right here.
Let us know if you want a MP3 copy of the 'appearance'

Watch out for future radio slots...

TM back in Fairview's hallowed halls...

We've been back into the studio to record some more of our orignal material, but we're not going to tell you what, yet...  You'll just have to wait and see!

We're looking to have the the full album out by midway through the year.  All the music and most of the vocals have been laid down, now we've got the wizardry of mixing and mastering to do.  Watch this space for more updates, in the meantime you'll have to make do with listening to our EP...

TM headline Ferriby Christmas Party.

For all those that were there, firstly thanks for coming along, we feel the night was a real success and raised quite a bit for the upkeep of the village hall, secondly we hope you enjoyed it! For those of you who couldn't make it, maybe next year...

Special thanks to the other artists that performed and the supporters without whose help we couldn't have pulled it all off, I think everyone commented on the great quality of the beer from Wold Top Brewery! The Neumes were on excellent form as usual, there were also some great covers from The Fresh and In the Making...

For a more detailed write-up see our review, or Read all about it on the 'Up Your Street - Your Mail' website...

3rd Favourite Chord EP Released

TripManhattan popped into Fairview Studio and recorded their first EP during the beginning of December 2007.  Called "3rd Favourite Chord" tracks include Cold Night, Hard Road Ahead, Alright Jack and The Hunter.

Be one of the first to own a copy (there may even be some of the rare unsigned ones out there...), when it goes on sale at our gigs priced at £4 - it's a bargain...

If you can't get to see us don't worry, for all you techno-savvies it can also be downloaded from TuneTribe, just follow the links. Or just drop us a line and we'll do our best to get one sent out to you...

New songs:

Now that we are back on the road we have a number of new numbers to try out on you.

- Simon continues his dark and brooding phase with 'In a picture' - classic rock inspired with a bit of a miserable story - unless infidelity is your thing...
- With Caroline at the helm, the world of blues opens up before us. 'Blues for you' is the first, penned primarily by Caroline and Dave
- 'Please Come Back to Me' has a celtic/Dido-esque feel, only without the million layers of production
- 'What's your favourite mood?' is shaping up to be big, and provocative

Now, the weather...

Well, we don't live and work in the US, in fact we have no affiliation with the US at all. Some of us are even rather derisory of the place. But we thought you'd like know the weather there anyway... and here.

There is a oft quoted myth that "It's cold up North".
Carefully constructed tales of dark satanic mills, cloth capped chaps in heavy wool coats, barely kept warm by the breath from their panting whippets, pick their way clumsily through boulders of snow and ice; steadfastly visiting distant relatives across the estuaries and rivers by walking across their permafrost surface while the sun shines wanly through a leaden sky.

We bring you now the shocking truth.  It's a century long conspiracy to keep out the riff-raff, ne'er do wells and crass southern folk who would do to us what they do to the Cornish - congest their roads, infest their hills, digest their villages and attest their superiority.

"Up North" suffers from clear skies, sunny days (all the longer in summer), traffic free roads, uncluttered countryside and folk (generally in T-shirts and shorts) who smile when you walk by and stop for a chat at the slightest provacation.

Long may the myth hold sway...
