Woodstock review

Just 'cos it's a private party doesn't mean you should pull out all the stops. So we put together a 2 hour, 2 set show.

We didn't get on stage until 10pm, following the previous 2 piece band who had a gentle set of Eagles type music.

First half was all music from the Woodstock era, starting with Mercedes Benz, sung accapella by the fantastic Jane. That grabbed people's interest, then we hit 'em hard with the US anthem, a la Hendrix, with Simon on guitar duty and segued stratight into a Stones number- Brown Sugar. The rest, as they say, was history <sic>.

Second half, with only a 20 minute break (most of which was spent quickly arranging Mustang Sally, which our hosts decided they wanted to sing), was a blend of more contemporary stuff, some of our own numbers and some audience participation.

Finally got off stage at 5 to midnight and could, at last, have a drink.

Pics to follow when we get 'em.

It's all about style
Which is why we made tie dye T shirts for the event. Nigel even wore his sandals, but it got a bit nippy and he kept attracting insects.

The hippy theme was largely taken on with enthusiasm by the crowd too.
